When you sign up you are placed in a boarding group. You will be able to do this through the app, or at kiosks in Disneyland park. Once Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge reaches capacity for the day, guests will be put in a virtual queue to enter the land. That may change when Rise of the Resistance opens. Since then, the crowds have not been bad at all and we have not seen the virtual queue used, even during the busy winter break. On day 2 the virtual queue was never even utilized and the longest wait time I found on Smugglers Run was 75 minutes. It seems there was a big rush in the morning for people to get in, and then it died down…. By the evening, the land was once again open to all. The wait time for Smugglers Run evened out later in the day around 45 minutes. And a virtual queue was formed within 30-45 minutes of park opening.Īnd then it stopped. Ride times were listed at up to 240 minutes. It looked like reservations for Oga’s and Savi’s filled up within 30 minutes (spoiler alert, somehow more slots opened up an hour or so later). June 24th started out looking like a true opening. I have been monitoring each day (and will continue to monitor and update this post as needed) to see what seems to be happening. Now that Galaxy’s Edge is open for the public, no reservation required, you might be wondering how crowded it is. Wristbands are no longer needed to enter Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge The third entrance is from Critter Country, down the new path next to Hungry Bear Restaurant. The first two come from the pathway between Frontierland and Fantasyland. There are three entrances into Star Wars Land. You can explore the land on the app now to become familiar with it. The Disneyland App and Play Disney Parks App have both been updated to include Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. If you haven’t seen where Galaxy’s Edge is in Disneyland, it is tucked back behind Frontierland (sort of). Where is Disneyland’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Located? If the land fills up, Disneyland will utilize a virtual queue (more info on that below) Your reservation guarantees you entry into the land at least one hour before your reservation (even if the virtual queue is used).Reservations for these locations open up 60 days in advance.Droid Depot also takes reservations but unless Disneyland is very crowded, you most likely will be able to walk up and go straight in. Reservations are no longer required to enter the land but are required for both Oga’s Cantina and Savi’s Workshop (Build your own lightsaber).Below you can find the highlights from that video. Disney did put out one Know Before You Go video for those visiting after the reservation period. Most of these videos pertained to the reservation period, which has since ended.
